UK Treescapes Ambassadors, Dr Julie Urquhart and Professor Clive Potter, are co-chairing a session at next week’s Climate Exp0, in the run up to the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow. The Climate Exp0 virtual conference is free and open to all. Organised by the COP26 Universities Network, it showcases the latest thinking and most relevant international research around five key themes:

UK Treescapes: Building resilience into the future

The session chaired by Julie and Clive explores the new interdisciplinary research agenda needed to underpin and help deliver forest expansion and improved tree health, management and protection as key international climate policy objectives. It brings together future leaders in treescapes research from across the natural and social sciences and arts and humanities research communities to debate what this new agenda looks like and how it can best be delivered through high impact, collaborative research. Italian researchers will showcase the approach in their own country.

The Treescapes session takes place on Tuesday 18th May from 1200h-1300h and you can register for a place at the exp0 here. The full programme for the Exp0 running from 17-21 May 2021 can be found here.
