The Future of UK Treescapes Programme is a £15.6 million research initiative funded by several UK research councils and government departments. This programme aims to deepen our understanding of the UK’s trees and forests from environmental, social and cultural perspectives. The research is providing valuable insights to help make important decisions about how to expand and protect our treescapes in the future.

Projects within this programme were selected through several competitive funding calls. Additionally, the programme includes a Fellowship Scheme and a Public Dialogue to engage more people in the discussion.
